Release Note
It has been a busy summer on the Fastory side โ๏ธ. We used this quieter period to work on a topic that comes up regularly in your feedback: the length of qualification journeys.
Good news: your Bot now recognizes your participants and adapts its questions to what it already knows about them. Here is what's new in this August update:
๐ค A Bot that recognizes your participants and gets straight to the point
Requalification allows your Bot to identify a visitor already known to your workspace and automatically skip the questions it already has an answer to. First name, postal code, phone number: once a piece of information has been filled in, it is no longer requested in the following games of the same workspace.
This recognition works in two complementary situations. Across devices, the fan account ensures continuity: a supporter who played on a desktop finds a shorter journey on mobile. And from one campaign to the next on the same device, recognition is immediate, even without a login.
The benefit is directly measurable on your activations. A club running a prediction game before every match, a brand rolling out several contests over a season or a media outlet engaging its community every week all see their forms get shorter as their database becomes qualified. The journey feels smoother, the mobile experience more pleasant, and completion rates improve naturally since participants no longer feel like they are starting all over again.
๐ Customer knowledge that grows without distorting your Leaderboards
Skipping a question does not mean losing the information. On every visit, the data is still recorded in Audience and attached to the participant, so you can keep segmenting, filtering and exporting your contacts exactly as before. Your CRM gets richer campaign after campaign, with no extra effort on your side.
One key point for the reliability of your mechanics: information carried over automatically generates no additional points and no additional wins. A returning fan therefore gains no advantage over a new participant, and your Leaderboards and podiums stay perfectly fair. This is an essential condition when your ranking decides who receives a prize or who reaches the final of a Bracket.
You avoid the two usual pitfalls of repeated data collection: frustrating your most engaged supporters by asking them the same questions over and over, or unbalancing a competition by rewarding the simple act of filling in a field. Qualification progresses, engagement stays healthy.
๐ง You stay in control of the questions to ask again
Some information needs to be refreshed regularly, and you remain the only judge of what deserves a new answer. The "Always ask this question again" option forces a question to appear on every participation, whatever the player's history.
This setting is configured question by question in your Bot sequence. It is particularly useful for renewing a consent, validating the terms of a new contest, or updating a preference that changes over time: favorite player, jersey size, preferred contact channel, interest in a partner offer.
You therefore get the best of both approaches. Stable data is collected once and reused, while sensitive or changing data is systematically reconfirmed. Your journeys remain compliant with your obligations, and your database stays up to date without making the experience longer for your fans.
๐ผ๏ธ The 3/4 format comes to your image, carousel and Instagram components
Another awaited evolution: the 3/4 format is now available to display your content on the image, carousel and Instagram components. You can integrate your vertical visuals without forced cropping and without losing the key elements of your design.
This format matches the visuals produced natively for social media, which saves valuable production time. Your club's Instagram posts, player portraits, sponsor visuals or match posters appear in their original proportions, with a more generous rendering than a square while remaining comfortable to browse on a mobile screen.
In practice, a league relaying the content of its clubs, a brand adapting a social media campaign inside its Fanzone or an event organizer promoting its program can reuse their existing assets directly. Your interactive experiences gain visual consistency with the rest of your communication, and your creative teams no longer need to produce a dedicated version.
โ๏ธ Stronger performance and anti-cheat protection
The summer period was also dedicated to in-depth work on the robustness of the platform. Our anti-cheat systems have been improved to better detect unusual behavior and to guarantee reliable leaderboards, including on campaigns that gather very high volumes of participations.
In parallel, the maintenance of our infrastructure has optimized the response times of your experiences. This work remains invisible in your Studio, but you feel it directly on a high-audience launch day, during a Live In-Stadia activation or in a traffic peak following a post on your social channels.
๐ Campaigns that build on one another
With progressive qualification, your activations no longer start from scratch: each campaign builds on the previous one to offer a shorter journey to your fans and a better qualified database to your teams.
More features will be unveiled over the coming weeks.
